Method 1 for improving backlight during monitoring project:

By adjusting the installation position, the backlight phenomenon can be improved. By adjusting the installation position of the camera at the entrance and exit to avoid direct sunlight from the outside as much as possible, the backlight phenomenon at the entrance and exit can be improved to a great extent. In case of serious backlight phenomenon, this installation method is better than installing the camera at the entrance and exit, but it should be noted that, If the above inversion method is adopted, if there are more than two entrances and exits on a network point, the installation direction of the camera should be consistent, otherwise there will be prevention loopholes.

The backlight phenomenon can be improved by selecting cameras with corresponding functions. Selecting super dynamic cameras or cameras with background compensation function is also a method to improve the backlight phenomenon at the entrance and exit. General infrared cameras have AGC (automatic gain control) function, that is, the strong and weak signals automatically increase the amplification gain inside the camera, and the strong signals automatically reduce the amplifier gain inside the camera, so that the final output signal basically does not change with the change of the input signal, and the output signal amplitude basically remains unchanged, However, this automatic adjustment function of general cameras is limited. Once a strong signal (such as strong backlight phenomenon) exceeds the automatic adjustment range of general cameras, the amplifier will be saturated and will not play the role of automatic adjustment, and a white spot with blurred edge (backlight phenomenon) will appear on the monitor screen.


The automatic adjustment range of super dynamic camera is larger than that of ordinary camera. We can feel through practice that when there are target objects with rich picture levels in the scene, when the target object is captured with an ordinary camera, more picture levels are obtained. Therefore, the selection of ultra dynamic camera can also improve the backlight problem with large picture contrast. The backlight phenomenon at the entrance and exit is often that a bright background and a dark foreground target appear in the site, and the positions of the background and target remain basically unchanged. Select a camera with BLC function (background light compensation function), and you can average only a certain area of the site to determine the AGC working point. At this time, if the foreground target is located in this area, The clarity of the foreground target is expected to be improved.


Method 3 for improving backlight during monitoring project:

Improve the backlight phenomenon by increasing the illuminance of indoor light source; Improving the illumination of indoor light source is also a way to improve the backlight phenomenon. The backlight phenomenon in the image is mainly caused by the large contrast between the intensity of light illumination in the field of view. The camera installed at the entrance and exit has strong outdoor light and weak indoor light within the monitoring range, resulting in too strong black-and-white level contrast of the image.


In this way, if the illuminance of the indoor light source is improved, the indoor light will be enhanced. Reducing the contrast with the outside light can also improve the backlight phenomenon.; There are other auxiliary methods to improve or reduce the backlight phenomenon at the entrance and exit, such as laying some carpets on the ground to prevent the reflection of ground light, and using curtains to block the direct sunlight at the windows near the entrance and exit. The backlight phenomenon at the entrance and exit is a prominent problem, and the most thorough and effective method has not been found to solve this problem.
