2. Transmission distance
The maximum transmission distance should be considered in advance: the maximum transmission distance of super class 5 network cable is 100m, the maximum transmission distance of multimode optical fiber under gigabit network is 1100 m, and the maximum transmission distance of single-mode optical fiber under 10 Gigabit network is 60 km.
When the IPC is installed outdoors, it shall aim at the monitoring target along the direction of the light source to avoid direct sunlight to the lens.
It is best to choose a network camera equipped with a waterproof tail line. After its power supply and network port are connected, it is best to add a waterproof box, otherwise the network port will be oxidized and the equipment will not be searched after a long time.
5. Pay attention to rat prevention
The cables of the monitoring project shall be inspected regularly, and attention shall be paid to rat prevention, especially for centralized power supply. It is common for rats to bite the cables, causing faults to the monitoring, so it is very important to pay attention to rat prevention.
6. Network cable
Network cable and crystal head must choose better quality, oxygen-free copper, and must not use miscellaneous brands or fake goods.
7. Selection of switch
For more than 8 cameras, it is better to choose the Gigabit switch on the market, and for less than 8 cameras, you can choose the 100m switch (full line speed switch). For large-scale projects, the switches are preferably Huawei, H3C, Ruijie and other brands.
8、NVR
NVR, like switches, cannot work at full load, especially core switches. Consider their scalability. Maximum resource of NVR = (main code stream + sub code stream) × The number of channels shall not exceed the total resources of NVR. Generally, the total resources of NVR are about 4 channels 20m, 8 channels 40m, 9 channels 60m, 16 channels 60m, 20 channels 80m and 36 channels 128M [the main code stream is used for local storage, and the sub code stream is used for network transmission and remote access. If the system is not accessed remotely, the sub code stream parameters can be omitted].
9. Selection of power supply
The power supply setting of the camera depends on whether the camera is near the control host or far away. If it is close, install a high-power DC regulated power supply directly next to the host, connect multiple cameras to this power supply, and the power of the DC power supply is greater than the total power of the camera. If the distance is far away, 220V AC power supply shall be distributed to the side of the camera, and then the voltage shall be transformed to supply power to the camera through regulated power supply. The distance between 220V AC power line and video line shall be greater than 30 cm to avoid magnetic field interference and affect the image transmission quality.
