In enterprise applications, distributed computing means that different workstations are connected through the network, and the distributed system provides the support needed to access various heterogeneous devices transparently across the network, so that users can make full use of various computing resources on the network to complete their tasks. With the development of network technology and the increasing application requirements, distributed computing has become the mainstream of the new generation of computing and applications.

Distributed application integration technology
Since enterprises began to use it support systems in the 1970s, there are dozens of it support systems in some large enterprises. Most of them are isolated information islands, which manage the work of specific functional departments of the enterprise, and lack effective communication with each other. With the continuous development of information technology, today's enterprises need an integrated, open, user-oriented and on-demand it support system, so they are facing the problem of application system integration. Different applications (especially those of different enterprises) have different development languages, different deployment platforms, different communication protocols, and different data formats for external exchange. How to solve the high-cost system integration caused by language differences, platform differences, protocol differences and data differences is the key to this problem.

Enterprise application integration (EAI) combines business processes, application systems, hardware and various standards in an enterprise to realize seamless integration between two or more enterprise application systems. It is that they conduct business processing and information sharing as a whole. Enterprise application integration includes not only the application system integration within the enterprise, but also the integration between enterprises, so as to realize the information exchange, business collaboration, process integration and the establishment of virtual enterprise and dynamic alliance. At present, the common enterprise application integration technologies include remote procedure call technology, distributed object technology, message oriented middleware technology and web service technology.
